Thanksgiving 2012

This year was our second Thanksgiving being away from family :(. Thankfully we have awesome friends that made our holiday lots of fun! A group of us went to Williamsburg,Virginia, I can't think of a better place to spend Thanksgiving.

The first night we were there we explored a little of colonial Wiliamsburg. We had the little ones feed some horses and sheep, Gavin was in heaven. Then Chase found a way snuck us all into a parade where "George Washington" gave a speech on his horse, it was pretty cool!

On Thanksgiving day we found this very random ferry to ride that took us literally nowhere but was a fun thing to do especially because its name was The Pocahontas. Later that night we drove around for about 40 minutes trying to find a place to eat that was open and didn't have a 2 hour wait. We ended up eating at T.G.I.Friday's which probably wasn't the best choice since it made some of us feel sick afterwards. But it was a fun and very nontraditional turkey dinner.

On our last 2 days there we went to Busch Gardens, Chase and I had never been (We aren't big roller coaster people). The first night was kind of slow, there were tons of people and LONG lines. Saturday morning we went back and with lots and lots of convincing I rode a very scary roller coaster 4 times!! and lots of other ones, I was pretty proud of myself.

All in all it was a successful first trip with friends!
